Sodium Sulfate is also known as sodium sulfate or sulfate of soda. It boasts a wide range of applications across industries.

Uses:

• Desiccant: It can absorb moisture from the air, making it useful in drying.

• Drying agent: It acts as an inert drying agent for removing traces of water from organic solutions.

• Filler: Used in the manufacture of powdered laundry detergents, adding bulk and improving cleaning performance.

• Paper making and glass Industry: Primarily used for Kraft process for creating highly alkaline sulfides and glassmaking processes.

• Pharmaceuticals: Used in cosmetics for some formulations due to its potential exfoliating properties.

• Chemical Industry: Utilized in analytical chemistry for preparing standard solutions due to the high purity and stability.  May also be used as a laxative.

• Textile dyeing: It acts as a mordant to improve dye adhesion to fabrics.
