Potassium Carbonate Anhydrous, also known simply as anhydrous potassium carbonate or potash. It is the anhydrous form of potassium carbonate, meaning it does not contain any water molecules in its crystalline structure.

Uses:

• Ceramic and Glass Industry: Potassium carbonate anhydrous is widely used in the glass industry as a flux. It lowers the melting point of silica (SiO₂), facilitating the fusion of the raw materials and promoting uniform melting during glass production. It also helps to improve the clarity and brightness of glass products.

• Food Additive: Potassium carbonate anhydrous is approved by regulatory agencies as a food additive (E501) and is used in certain food and beverage applications. It serves as a leavening agent in baking, helping the dough to rise by releasing carbon dioxide gas when heated. Additionally, it may be used as a pH regulator or acidity regulator in food processing.

• pH Adjustment: In industrial processes, it acts as a pH-adjusting agent or buffering agent. It can be added to aqueous solutions to control and stabilize pH levels, particularly in chemical synthesis, water treatment, and electroplating applications.
