Calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)₂) is also known as slaked lime or hydrated lime, it is produced when quicklime (calcium oxide) reacts with water.

• Flocculant: Acts as a flocculant, attracting suspended particles in water, allowing them to clump together and settle for easier removal during water treatment processes.
